Eyosiyas is a creative designer, with a versatile outlook toward design and the art of communication media. He never stopped exploring to learn and self-educate after obtaining a bachelor’s degree in architecture from Addis Ababa University, specifically (EiABC) Ethiopian Institute of Architecture. In addition, Eyosiyas is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Organizational Leadership at International Leadership University.
He has amassed invaluable expertise in interior design and building projects, accumulating over 8 years of experience in the industry. He specializes in turnkey interior remodeling projects, responsible for designing, sourcing, managing, and overseeing every aspect of projects. Beyond his architectural design skills, Eyosias is a self-taught graphic design and motion graphics artist. Through his artistic abilities, he has successfully directed and produced remarkable TV commercials for renowned tech giants in Ethiopia, including the pioneering ride-hailing app, Ride-Ethiopia among others.
In his extensive professional career spanning a decade, Eyosias has been involved in the design of various structures, such as residential buildings, office complexes, schools, and business facilities. Through his innovative and creative approach to architecture, he strives to create functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces, while exploring more on the media sector to create fascinating visual content and useful products.

Eyosias co-founded Semwerk Studios in January 2017.
As a founder and majority stake owner, he worked in pursuit of his ambitious dreams to establish a design studio. In the early days of business, Eyosias was tasked to manage and supervise the design and construction work on office remodeling projects. He had a quick transition from design studio to take on a fast-paced design and construction process.
Eyosias was able to approach and propose businesses to offer his skills and services while managing the business at Semwerk. He has participated in a broad area of focus. services including architectural design, advertisement, and marketing materials.

Eyosias had the opportunity to engage in diverse projects throughout Ethiopia, both in Addis Ababa and various regional cities. Among these projects is the design and construction of a guesthouse, currently in the final stages of completion in Assosa. Additionally, Eyosias undertook the design of office buildings for the same client. Recently, our firm received a noteworthy opportunity to design a comprehensive school compound. This significant undertaking involves strategic site planning for classrooms, and all administration building blocks, and adjacent amenities. To ensure successful execution, a team of experts, including talented landscape designers and civil engineers were tasked. Leading and working in a team of young engineers has been a remarkable achievement in delivering a project on a tight schedule. diligently assigned to develop this school project.

Architectural Concept - Semwerk
His task involved analyzing and formulating a conceptual approach for a highly intricate architectural design project. The approach employed a metaphorical analogy to derive an understanding of how the project should be constructed while considering two opposing elements. This analysis drew inspiration from coffee plants and the coffee trade, as depicted in the accompanying diagrams. The aim was to create an experience for visitors to comprehend the composition and purpose of coffee in Ethiopia. Furthermore, it aimed to encapsulate the essence of time, culture, and society within a spatial definition, utilizing a diverse range of materials and incorporating integrated natural and artificial lighting. The Concept-space diagram represents a visionary architectural design that attempts to integrate with the site seamlessly. Envisioned to incorporate the perfect collaboration of landscaping, mechanical design, and botany, forming a cohesive and unified lightweight structure.

Product Design - ADC
Eyosias joined ADC in December 2014, where he was assigned to contribute to product design, architectural design, and visualization. Within the organization, he was an integral part of the 3D Modeling & Animation department. Eyosias excelled in devising innovative product concepts and played a crucial role in visualizing office and production plant spaces. ADC, being a technology company, aims to efficiently utilize advanced technologies and materials, leverage local expertise, and foster necessary international partnerships to create products that perfectly align with our country’s unique requirements.
Product Design
He was assigned the responsibility of creating 3D models, refining and rendering them for visual representation. His duties encompassed modeling various products, and architectural spaces, and conducting experiments with 3D printable prototypes. Eyosias developed interior designs for both internal projects and external clients, focusing on production plants and display rooms to exhibit products. Throughout his work, he prioritized functionality and user ergonomics to ensure the creation of high-quality products. Collaborating closely with his supervisor, Eyosias has successfully introduced captivating prototypes to the market.
Animation & Motion Graphics - Semwerk
Eyosias and the studio team had their first taste of a breakthrough in the country’s advertising landscape with an innovative TV ad campaign. This marked a significant milestone for both the team and their client, as it was their debut televised commercial campaign. The experience was truly enlightening for Eyosias and his colleagues.
The production was a captivating blend of live-action footage and chroma screen performances, carefully intertwined with astonishing motion graphics elements. Eyosias took on the roles of director and producer, handling the post-production motion graphics elements with finesse. Despite being a novice director, this endeavor provided Eyosias with invaluable insights and knowledge about the industry.
Furthermore, the challenges posed by the ongoing pandemic added an extra layer of difficulty. However, Eyosias rose to the occasion and successfully delivered a television spot of the utmost quality, surpassing all expectations including his own.

Animation & Motion Graphics - Semwerk
During the second round of their advertising campaign, Ride Passenger ET partnered with Semwerk to create an animated character to represent their brand ambassador, Haregewoin Assefa. Eyosias, the project lead, assembled a team of talented creatives to fulfill the client’s vision. One group focused on developing the female character, while another worked on hand-drawn sketches showcasing famous monuments and landmarks in the city. Through collaboration at Semwerk Studios, an engaging animated composition was directed and produced. Eyosias’s dedication to storytelling through this unique medium resulted in a seamless connection with Ride’s target audience. His expertise in character animation and sound design delivered exceptional outcomes. The positive reception and feedback were so rewarding that the clients even requested a customized French version. Another version was tailored for the city of Djibouti a few months following the successful campaign in Addis Ababa. You can watch the TVC below.

Eyosias found the project to be a thrilling convergence of his interests. As a contractor for FE Business Group, he had the opportunity to utilize his skills in architectural design, visual design, and web development. The client, a construction company with ventures in the thriving real-estate industry, approached Eyosias to create promotional marketing content and facilitate property rentals. Collaborating with the creative team at Semwerk, Eyosias successfully managed a talented group of professionals for a duration of four months. He oversaw on-site renovation, 3D interior design, and visualization, while also directing the location photography team. Eyosias was responsible for creating 3D rendering assets and developing a comprehensive website that encompassed all the businesses within the group. The website he crafted for the company group showcased exemplary samples of their work.
